In the interest of transparency, here’s a look at the visitor stats for The Big Blue Network from August 13, when we were first able to begin gathering site stats for BBN through November 13, the last three months of the site’s existence. BBN actually began accepting first-year students on May 15, 2009.
Generally, we had a fantastic and active summer, with nearly 900 unique visitors on our best days. This was when we had a first-year student membership of ~1200-1500 students. Our active membership has dropped off since the beginning of the semester, with students having shifted to their platform of choice (Facebook, most likely). Our PS 101 and UK 101 students continue to make the most use of BBN through the fall.
BBN will be “relaunching” in January 2010 with a series of topical events around housing, financial aid, financial literacy, Student Government and more. Stay tuned for details!
